Dungeon Maquettes
A downloadable game
Developer's Note: this is a pre-alpha demo build. Much of the functionality is there, but there's a lot of polish needed, and a lot of content that should get crammed all up in here. This is to show what I've been working on the past few months, and to see if anyone thinks it could be neat. I've been in game dev for many years, but this is my first time I've actually assembled anything end to end, and boy has it been a journey. If you're interested in following me along on my indie gamedev journey, check out the Substack blog and other socials at the Linktree page.
Mold Yourself
You are a spirit, tasked by an angel to fight to the center of an ever-changing dungeon and deal with whatever is causing chaos to spill out of it. You do so by taking the form of historical statues, letting your knitted flesh's powers be augmented by centuries of remembrance.
Break Apart
Go down each level, exploring rooms and fighting the strange denizens within in turn-based combat. Find coin, equipment, and ways to strengthen this form with each step. Negotiate with the mysterious Shop Wuff, stumble upon notes from previous excursions (?!), and fight your way down until you cannot anymore.
Remake Yourself
After each attempt, you will be able to unlock hidden powers, letting you better take forms in the future.
Explore.
Die.
Remake yourself.
Again. And again.
Until it is done.
